*WARRANTY POLICY*

Your new glasses are warranted to be free of manufacturer's defects, which includes material and workmanship, for one year from the date-of-purchase. All warranties are at the discretion of the manufacturer.

Scratching is a normal result of use, and is not considered a defect. Breakage by use or loss is not covered.

If your new prescription changes within 60 days of your eye examination by one of our doctors, we will remake your lenses at no charge in your new prescription.

If you decide to change your frame style, your frame will be replaced at the equivalent retail and lenses replaced at 50% of retail cost.

If you are wearing a Progressive Addition Lens (PAL, a 'no line' bifocal), and you wish to switch to a bifocal or single vision lenses, we will remake the lenses at no cost to you within 60 days of the original purchase. We do not refund the difference in cost.

If your glasses are lost or stolen, we will replace them at 50% of the cost.

When do I need glasses?

Glasses are an effective way to improve and sharpen your vision if you have nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), or astigmatism. Glasses can also correct presbyopia, an age-related loss of up-close vision.

Bloomberg Eyecare offers routine eye exams and visual acuity tests to determine if it’s time for you to get a pair of prescription glasses for general use or specific activities, like computer use and reading, or to update a prescription. You typically schedule these exams once a year to ensure good eye health and high-quality vision.

You should also schedule an eye exam for glasses if you have:

  • Blurry vision
  • Double vision
  • Distorted vision
  • Frequent headaches
  • Persistently tired or irritated eyes
  • Difficulty seeing at night

You may also need prescription glasses if you tend to squint a lot when looking at objects up-close or far away.

Bloomberg Eyecare also provides customized eye exams for children who are six months old and older. These exams can identify potential vision issues in your child early to prevent complications as they get older. The optometrists can also fit your child with prescription glasses if needed.

What happens during an eye exam for glasses?

If you don’t currently wear glasses or are experiencing vision issues with your current prescription, your Bloomberg Eyecare optometrist provides a comprehensive eye exam to find your perfect prescription strength.

During the exam, your optometrist evaluates your overall eye health to ensure you don’t have any signs of eye damage, infection, or eye diseases like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, or macular degeneration.

They also perform a visual acuity test that involves reading letters on a wall chart while you look through a variety of prescription lenses.

Based on the results of your tests, your optometrist determines your glasses’ prescription, and you can shop for a pair of stylish frames in the office.

What frames are available for prescription glasses?
